St William of York preschool is committed to providing high-quality care and education. We strive to make each child’s first experience of school a positive, faith-filled one providing a nurturing, safe, and fun atmosphere for our children. The curriculum is designed to build the child’s self-esteem through hands-on, developmentally appropriate activities that stimulate the natural desire to learn. The children are exposed to kindergarten readiness skills through a unique balance of teacher-directed and child-directed activities which meet the needs of each child according to his or her age and individual progress. Christian values are integrated through prayer and participation in religious events, including attending Mass. A strong Home-School relationship is encouraged through participation in ongoing classroom events throughout the year, newsletters about the activities going on in the classroom and parent/teacher meetings.
